What's New with GT-SHPE?

Happy Almost Valentine's Day!!!! Hope you are ready for our party this Friday, and our bonding meeting this Thursday @BioTech Quad.

1. GENERAL MEETING:

When? Thursday February 14th, 11:00 am

Where? BioTech Quad (Green space across the street from Hoewy and COC, go to bus stop across the street, and keep walking)

What company? No company!!! Bonding meeting!!

2. TASTE OF LATIN AMERICA:

We're starting to plan TASTE OF LATIN AMERICA. As you probably know, there are events such as "Taste of Africa", so we want to start a new "Taste of Latin America" tradition at Tech.

Georgia Power (Southern Company) would like to invite the members of SHPE to a Georgia Power Reception located on the Tech campus. This reception is for campus student organization members only and the information is below. We are pleased to announce the 2013 Capital One Summit for Developing Leaders! This one week workshop will allow talented freshmen and sophomores an unparalleled opportunity to come and learn at Capital One’s corporate headquarters just outside ofWashington, DC.

While onsite at Capital One, a small, exceptional group of students from top colleges and universities will come together to learn more about the analytical and problem solving skills valued by today’s top employers. You will be given the chance to hear from executive speakers on relevant industry topics, work as a team on a case study, explore Capital One's history and brand strategy, and learn how recent college graduates launched careers at Capital One.

Capital One will be responsible for all participant travel and accommodations — your job is to come, learn and challenge yourself in this exciting corporate setting!

When: May 19 - 24, 2013

6. TENNIS LESSONS:

Hello,

My name is Eddie Segura from the Georgia Tech Tennis Team.

I am writing this email because I am going to start giving some tennis lessons here at the Peters Parking Deck or Piedmont Park for anyone that goes to Tech.

I am originally from Madrid, Spain and I don't know many people here, so I figured that sending an email would be the easiest way to contact potential clients.

I am willing to give lesson to groups of 3 for $45 ($15 each), groups of 2 for $50 ($25 each) and one person for $40.
