1. NATIONAL CONFERENCE:
- Approximate Roundtrip Flight Costs $216 (AA 417, AA 1472) - (ATL -> DFW)
- Price of registration (includes lodging) before Sept. 30 - $250 Arriving Wednesday, $200 Arriving Thusday (We will reimburse half of this to our members)
- We will cover half of your registration amount if you are SHPE member.

4. COMMUNITY SERVICE:
First of all, thank all of you who went to NASA science space day, it was a great day! and I'm sure we made an impact in these kids. We have two events coming up:
1. goSTEM:
What? A day of cool engineering activities and workshop to get hispanic kids and their parents interested in college!
When? Saturday October 13th from 9:00 am to 1:00pm
Joint event with HSF, as part of SHPE please sign up all day (preferably) and for high school engineering activity, Highs School workshop presenter, Logistics and/or Student Panel. Is a great opportunity to get out there and help the community, and a great leadership event. We really need your help if you are available because is weekend of Fall break and a lot of our members are not going to be here.

Tutoring to hispanics middle and high school kids:
What? Middle school and high school students are brought to the GT campus for tutoring
Where? Georgia Tech CULC ROOM 325
When? Every Saturday beginning September 29th from 12pm-2pm
Please sign uo if you plan to go, so we have a head count of who is going.
